Composition, Functions and Member List of the Registration Committee

Composition

1. a chairman who shall be a member of the Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board;
2. 5 Chinese medicine practitioners; and
3. 1 person from an educational or scientific research institution in Hong Kong.

Functions

1. to make recommendations to the Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board on the qualifications for registration of Chinese medicine practitioners;
2. to make recommendations to and assist the Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board on the procedure, documentation and forms for registration of Chinese medicine practitioners;
3. to assist the Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board to consider any application for registration as Chinese medicine practitioners;
4. to make recommendations to the Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board on matters relating to the requirements in respect of continuing education in Chinese medicine; and
5. to carry out any other functions assigned to it under the Chinese Medicine Ordinance or delegated to it by the Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board.
